Hi joannepratt.RemoveThis@post.harvard.edu,
Since that problem just started happening recently, try a System Restore.

| The 10 and 12 year old grandsons spent a week playing runescape on my
| Windows XP PC, 2-5 hours at a time. They've gone now, but problems
| remain. The computer freezes without warning and the graphics get
| muddled. E.G. sometimes there are two images of the desktop on the
| screen.
|
| I won't be playing any more games, but want my computer back in
| business order. That is, I have to access the Internet constantly,
| check email, do word processing, etc.
|
| I deleted the temporary Internet files and defragmented the disk, but
| the problems remain.
|
| Can anyone suggest what I should do now?
