I had Zoo Tycoon installed and running just fine. Somewhere along the way we
uninstalled the game from a question within the game, not from add/remove
programs. Now, whenever I try to install the game the only screen I get has
the option to UNinstall. I'm stuck between install and uninstall. Must be
something left on the drive...

Hi JerryL,

Here's how to uninstall a game when using Add-Remove programs fails:

Step A: Start your computer in Safe Mode by holding down the F8 key.

Step B: Reinstall the game to the same folder it was installed to originally,
and then try to uninstall it again using Add-Remove programs. If
that fails, delete it's folder and any save games in My Documents.

Step C: Install and Run Regcleaner and if it finds any stray registry keys for the
game, delete them: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download460.html

Worked great. Thanks. (did a reg clean, then went through the registry and
deleted all references to Zoo Tycoon).

Dear Jimmy S
I have also had this same problem with trying to reinstall Zoo Tycoon 2 and
am only given the option to uninstall ???
I following your advice below but sadly didn't work for me. I've also tried
restarting with clean boot.

One thing, I got the Regclean and it ran and 'fixed my registry problems'
but I couldn't get a way to find any registry keys for the game and delete
them?? Have I missed something?

Grateful for any help as my daughter is badly missing being able to play
this game.
Regards
Debra D

Hi Debra D,

Your best solution would be to repair Windows using these instructions:

How to repair Windows XP:
Unplug from your Internet connection, and then repair Windows:
using this method: http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

Afterwards, boot up your system, turn on your XP Internet Firewall,
plug back into your Internet connection and install all Critical and
