When is a fix for the Vista wireless Internet problems going to be issued?!
If you're not familiar with it, when your wireless computer (any model/make)
goes into sleep or hibernate mode, the only way to regain your wireless
connection after coming out of one of these modes is to reboot or restart.
None of the temporary fixes offered (on this site and others) have worked!
Why are the people at Microsoft ignoring this ANNOYING issue?!!!!

Coachdvc,

I'm sorry you're experiencing trouble. Actually, it's because of the posts
on this newsgroup that this issue is bugged up and is under investigation.

Like Coachdvc I have been experiencing the SAME problem and its making me
furious - any idea on an update? John Lewis said they would be happy to take
a look at it / send it away but it appears to be a microsoft problem rather
than an HP computer problem.

Please make sure you have the latest wireless drivers.
This often helps.

I have the same problem. When the computer wakes up (if it does not hang,
and that is another problem), Windows does not detect any wireless networks.
It is not a driver problem, it is a Windows Vista problem. A computer
sitting side by side with this one has XP installed and it never loses the
wireless signal. Don't hold you breath waiting for a fix from Microsoft.

The sleep and/or hibernate mode is completely bugged, when I turn my
laptop into sleep mode, there is no way but pushing the restart button
to awake it...

Take a look at the following and see if it helps:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929734/en-us

While I can't find it at the moment, there is also a released version of
this hotfix that addresses the same issue.

Kim [MS],
You say: "this issue is bugged up and is under investigation" !?
That was in early April 2007. I purchased a new Laptop in June with the same
problem -Coachdvc- posted above. I have never been able to receive but a few
emails yet.
Instead of returning my laptop immediately, I worked dilligently trying to
find the solve the problem. Now after months have passed my hardware vendor
support tells me that I have to wait until a Vista Service Pack is released,
date unknown.
Has MS resolved this issue now, or is it still "this issue is bugged up and
[] under investigation"
I have spend a rediculous amount of time searching for answers.
Where are the answers?
Where are the fixes?

PS: BTW - Router hardware and all settings are verified to be correct.
