Does XP-pro have a system utility that will remove all orphaned files left
over from installed software that has been removed? Lacking that, is there
a utility program that will do that job with any reliability.

Thanks for any information.

Hi,

No, it doesn't. You can manually delete leftover folders. I know there are
cleanup utilities out there that remove orphaned folders and supposedly
unused registry entries, but I wouldn't trust them - many delete needed
entries as well as unneeded ones.

Thanks Guys! I have run disc cleanup but I know it don't get nearly all of
them.

I just thought perhaps there was a utility out there somewhere that would do
it with some reliability. I am amazed sometimes by the utilities that you
folks come up with sometimes to do little tasks and thought I would ask.
Thanks again.
