Post subject: Permissions
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>general (more info?)

Hello
WinXPproSP2 up to date and virus checked.
Months ago after a reinstall of Winxp I noticed
that I couldn't access any files in the Managment section.
This didn't bother me as I had no need for them.
But now some Install.exe wont open. I get
'Access denied'.
As I am the only 'user' and Administrator I find this strange.
I can only guess that some remnants of original installation of
WinXP has the 'proper' administrator account.
I would rather not Format etc.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Ted
