I play games at Lycos Gamesville but when I click on the room to play in it
doesn't load.I never had trouble playing here before.Also I can't play any
games with a friend on Yahoo either.I thought maybe it was the flash player 9
but I don't have any trouble with any other flash content anywhere else. I'm
using Windows XP.Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks so much.

Uninstall all older versions of Java from Add/Remove Programs and install
the latest one from:

http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

You want the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 that is towards the middle of
the page.

I'm sorry that didn't work. Since you say you never had trouble playing
before, what changed between the time things worked and the time they
didn't?

Nothing changed really,I was playing one day and it wouldn't work the next.
Do you think it could have anything to do with the Flash9 Player? I had alot
of trouble with it when I first put it on like IE has to close because of
it.I've uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. I don't know why that
would cause problems on just certain games sites though. Since I did the last
install of it I haven't had any trouble with IE closing. I've been trying to
figure it out for a few months now. It's very frustrating ! Thanks again
for your help.

What version of IE are you running? If you have IE7, perhaps there's a
conflict with Flash 9 and IE7. I don't know that; I'm just conjecturing. If
you do have IE7, you might want to post your question in the IE7 newsgroup
which is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general. There are a huge number
of posts so it would be smart to start by going to Google Groups Advanced
Search. Use a search term that describes your problem, constrain the search
to the IE7 newsgroup and the date to very recently. You can also check MVP
Sandi Hardmeier's canonical IE7 site. Sandi has workarounds, known issues,
troubleshooting, and links. This may be the only site you need.

http://www.ie-vista.com/

If you don't have IE7, you might want to post in the IE6 newsgroup, which is
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser.

Alternatively, you might want to try installing a different browser such as
Firefox and see if you can get in that way.

I'm sorry but I don't have any other ideas.

Good luck,

Malke

Cleaned out your temp/tmp and internet cache files recently. If no, do
so.
