Post subject: Folder opening issues

Hi, I'm having an annoying issue with opening folders. When I double-click
on a folder, whether it is on the desktop, in windows explorer, or elsewhere,
a search page opens, instead of the folder. What can I do to resolve this
issue?

Fix "Search" Opens Instead of Explorer:

Search Companion Starts If You Double-Click a Folder:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321186

Alternately, using Command-line.

Click Start/Run and type:

reg add hkcr\directory\shell /ve /d none /f

Note: This problem occurs if you alter the "Drive" / "File Folders" entries via File Types dialog
