Laptop with Windows XP SP2
Upon startup XP loads and all is okay, except for a DLL Load window that has
the following message "Vxd_Enable Tracking on Scrollarea could not load"
I close the message and the system works fine. I also tried to find info on
the message without any luck. Any help as to what this is and how it can be
cleared would be appreciated.

The VXD refer to a Virtual Device driver and it was in the Win9X and ME, but
your message wording refer to a bad driver like a mouse or CD/DVD installed
or even a printer that starting on Start Up and causing this error.

Error Message: VMM32.VXD: Missing/Unable to Load
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/191874
Hang at Startup or Shutdown with Ndis.vxd Enabled
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/261766

Use these two utilities to see what applications/Programs running in the
background and you can use to remove an entry from the Start Up:
"Process Explorer for Windows v10.21"
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/processexplorer.mspx

"AutoRuns for Windows v8.61 By Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell"
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.mspx
Look in the Event Viewer for error messages (X) and post them back in your
next post and also in Device Manager for any malfunctioning Device or
conflict in IRQ.
