I have the same problem as described in the Microsoft article at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810980/en-us
The problem is that I don't have a logitech mouse.
I did 4 system restore to go back to a restore point when I didn't have this
stop error problem. But at the 4th restore attempt, it failed because there
was not enough space. But on my PC, there is plenty of free space. And now,
the restore points have disappeared so I can't go back to a point where I
didn't have this error.
What can I do ? |

System Restore should only take up to15% of HD space.
Go to Disk Cleanup and delete the restore points you do not want/need.

If you are unsure what to do > open Help & Support > in search box > enter
"system restore"
From the help box select appropriate topic you require 'How to delete
Restore points" & follow directions.

I realize that you do not have a Logitech mouse, but if you open Device
Manager > Mice & other...., does it show a Logitech device?
Do you have a Logitech Joystick installed?
If you have a Logitech device showing, and you are sure you do not require
it, disable, see what happens, if no problems, then uninstall the driver.

Control Panel > Programs Reports & Solutions
What I am trying to do is make sure that you do not have a real problem
relating to the error message, seeing you do not have a Logitech devise.
The report may relate to a real problem!!!!
Is everything working alright otherwise?

I don't have this in control panel.
Everything is working fine, except that.

Group also listed on Vista Community appears same group on XP & Vista
Communities.
Suggest post question on XP General because your problem does not really
relate to WMC.
I will keep checking if I get solution will post back.

Thanks. I finally found the solution myself. That's because I uninstalled a
key logger software without disactivating the software. So I reinstalled it,
desactivated it, closed the software and uninstalled. And it was fine

I suspect *nobody* has it in Control Panel
Try this:
Right click on my computer and select Manage.
Open Performance Logs and Alerts under Sytem Tools in the left panel.
On 7/15/2007, Jacques posted this:
