Hi all,
I have the following problem - i use rdp to gain access to a pc that we use
to program devices around the world. Many of these devices only have a modem
(dialup) connection.
This means i need to rdp in over my broadband connection and then initiate
the modem connection - the problem i am having is that when i start the modem
connection it drops my rdp when the modem is "registering on the network"
I have tried several settings with the modem connection that have obviously
made no diff else i wouldnt be here - the other strange thing is that some of
the devices have there own program that are installed on the pc which
initiates the modem connection, these do not cause the rdp to drop even
though they are using the same physical modem.
The problem only occurs when i start the modem directly i.e double clicking
the modem connection icon in network connections.
I am currently using a workaround of rdp to another host on the lan and then
rdp again to host with the modem as this works fine - though i would prefer
to just rdp to the machine with the modem direclty - plus it bugs me.
Many thanks
