Post subject: Offline Files Synch Error - post of last resort
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>work_remotely (more info?)

I have a problem with offline file synchronisation, but
only on one particular mapped drive.

Offline file synching works fine with one mapped drive,
but with a different mapped drive (on the same server) an
error always occurs. The error states in part 'Unable to
make [blah] available offline. End of file reached'.
Sometimes its 'File not available', and sometimes 'More
data is available'.

The synch process worked ok for a few days until I
experimented a little with various offline file
synchronisation situations. As far as I can remember, I
deleted an offline-enabled folder from the server with the
client disconnected to learn what would happen.

I have tried disabling and re-enabling offline files from
the folder options form. I have tried looking for the
windows\csc hidden folder that apparently holds the
offline files, with the intention of deleting it, but
could find no such folder.

My question is - how do I reset the offline file system so
that I may again work with offline files on the mapped
drive currently reporting errors?

Any help on this would be very much appreciated,
Simon

From a previous posting:
Take a look at http://www.onecomputerguy.com/w2k/w2k_csc/

You may have reached your limit for Offline Files...

There is a limit set for offine files storage. This error normally
occurs once you exceed this limit. You can change the amount of
storage reserved for offline files by browsing to the link above.
