Your VCR doesn't convert the tape.... it outputs a signal that your tv can
interpret..... if you're going to capture the signal, you're going to need
a multi standard multi system vcr...which will output a pure NTSC signal
rather than the pseudo PAL one that the current vcr outputs or one which
will actually do a total conversion.
The Samsung SV5000 is the multi system vcr I have.... which will do what you
want.... although there are a couple of others out there... an Aiwa and a
Panasonic come to mind..
