Bringing the remote printer to your Remote Desktop
session does not work (XP to XP) even though that option
is checked. The event view shows that it can't obtain the
drivers for the local printer. I installed the local
printer on the remote computer and it still does not
work. Any fixes, Registry key, etc?

OK - presumably the port was redirected, because the host machine noticed
that the driver wasn't available and wrote the event log message.

So--then you installed the printer on the host machine?

And now--what event log message do you get around the
connection/disconnection?

What printer make/model, and what port does it use to connect to the local
machine?

I had good results after installing the drivers on the remote machine for the local printer then following the intructions in Knowledge Base article 302361.

Good Luck!

Great!--what printer make/model, and what port did it use?
