Post subject: HOWTO: Use USB to Printer Cable for Non-parallel Port Machines
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>print_fax (more info?)

1. Attach USB-to-Printer cable to computer only. Let operating system install
the cable driver.

2. Start->Printer & Faxes->Add Printer.

3. Under the Properties for the printer make sure the Port is not set to
LPTn:, but to USB00n, where n is the next available integer.
