Post subject: Clicking Sound When Transferring Video
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>video (more info?)

Need your help - bought this Vaio Computer that is so powerful that it could send men to the moon. It is a PCV-RZ 34G. Problem is this: I hook up my DV Camcorder and begin to transfer video to the computer (use a variety of programs - Picnnacle, Movie Maker, Premier, etc...) and it seems that every time as the video gets transferred there is a "clicking audio sound" almost like interferrence (sp). I have tried everything - turning off all background programs - untangling all wires, etc.. and it continues to happen. I have just noticed that the fan on the computer is making a slight clicking noise - wonder if this might be what is causing it.

Any thoughts - I have considered bringing the computer back to Best Buy and asking for their diagnostic help - I purchased the 3 year service plan.

Let me know. Thanks. Rick
