Post subject: How Can I Broadcast a Live Video Stream
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>video (more info?)

How can i create a live video stream for a website. I Use
Median Encoder 9 to encode the video. But I do not know
how to actually broadcast the video to the web.

I created a website:
http://www.temerarios46.com/videos.htm where I use videos
that visitors can view embeded in webpage.

I used windows metfiles to do this. Now I want to know
how to stream a video live from my digital video camera
or VCR. I do have a capture card and my connections are
fine. All I need to know is how to broadcast a live
video. I've been reading the help in Media Encoder 9 and
it says that I have to use windows media server (which I
assume is the same media encoder 9). I am just confused
how to set up the connections so the media encoder 9
detects my website host and actually provides the URL
that users click and view the site.
