To write stream driver for bus driver ...

To write stream driver for bus driver (say, USB - if it is bus driver) one
must know the interface
of that bus driver. Is there any sources of information for bus drivers'
interfaces available?
Just to start from.
(the same question could be about native drivers, but here I think I know
the answer: "ask vendor")
