See my previous post (Aug 29 2003 6:06PM) for
background. I've played around with it some more.
With the PocketPC out of the cradle, I can click
on 'Options' in the main ActiveSync window, go to
the 'Sync Options' tab, and click on the 'Inbox'
checkbox. At this point and in this window,
highlighting 'Inbox' and clicking on 'Settings' causes
the message 'Opening Settings...' to flash very quickly
followed by nothing.
But clicking OK and going back to the main ActiveSync
window, I can double click on 'Inbox' and open the 'Mail
Synchronization Settings' window. I can set ActiveSync
to synchronize subfolders of the Inbox. However, when I
click OK, go back to the main window of ActiveSync, and
try to sync my PocketPC, the 'Inbox' line
under 'Information Type' disappears and I'm back to
square one.
Once when I went through this sequence, after I opened
the 'Mail Synchronization Settings' window, checked a
subfolder box, clicked on OK, and before I tried to sync
the PocketPC, the 'Status' of 'Inbox' in the main
ActiveSync window was 'Disabled.' No status was listed
at that time for any other information types.
Thanks,
Adam |

Hi,
Have you tried detect and repair for Outlook and then reinstalled
ActiveSync?
