I'm using Entourage (2004) to access an Exchange Server (2003 I believe).
When I add a photo to the "personal" tab of a contact, what happens to it -
does it get sent up to the Exchange server? When I sync my WM6.5 PDA via
ActiveSync to the same Exchange server, can that photo come with the
contact, and perhaps even be displayed when that person calls me? It doesn't
do it in my hands (photos of contacts are blank on the phone after sync) but
it seems like it should, so I'm checking: does this actually work for
people? How are photos for contacts handled by the Exchange server,
Activesync, and Entourage?

Both Entourage 2004 and Entourage 2008, in combination with Exchange 2003 or
2007, do not sync contact pictures. However, Entourage 2008 Web Services
Edition, in combination with an up-to-date version of Exchange 2007, can
synch them.
