iPaq Bluetooth and MS Desktop Bluetooth won't sync?

Does anyone know if the USB Bluetooth unit that comes with
the Microsoft Desktop Bluetooth keyboard and mouse will
sync with the iPAQ 4355's Bluetooth?

The PC sees the iPaq but the iPaq says the "service" is
not available.

The Bluetooth unit that comes with the Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard
does not support the Serial profile, which is needed to use
ActiveSync.
