I've never seen that error message - what device are you using, and
what version of Exchange? Also, have you tried a soft reset of the
unit?

The ActiveSync Error 86000108 can be attributed to a corrupt item in your
mailbox i.e.: a task, calendar item, or e-mail message. To correct the
86000108 error you'll need to:

1.) decipher which mailbox folders contain the corrupt item(s)
-from activesync, enable/disable synchronization of each/multiple items
until you complete a successful sync: voila: the corrupt folder(s).
2.) delete item(s) from the corrupt folder(s) until you can successfully
synchronize with the exchange server - you may need to toggle between folders
sync (on & off) and jockey folder items in between an adjacent .pst' to
figure out where the corruption lies...

*real outlook buffs might change their view to include a last modified field
& start troubleshooting from there.

I have the same problem when synching my contacts menu...you suggested to try
and find and delete the corrupted item. Any ideas exactly how to find a
corrupt item in outlook ?

thanks

If you follow the aforementioned steps, you'll be able to decipher the
problem folder(s). As for the particular item within the folder, you'll need
to simply delete each item (or copy to a local pst) until you acheive a
successful sync with the exchange server.
