Personally, I suggest that you save your work on your pocket pc as a word
file, not a pocket word file. After you turn of file conversions in
activesync (tools, options, rules, conversion settings, uncheck box) you can
do this in pocket word by tapping tools, save as, and then select word
97/2000 to save your work. This is good for some of the formatting to
remain, but if you like all the formatting of word, you may wish to look
into texmaker (30 day trial or $39 @
http://www.softmaker.de/tmp_en.htm),
which has conditional formatting, inserts, and lots more. Also, to move
files back and forth, I just use Windows Explorer. Under "My Computer" in
the classic view tree you will be able to see under your had drives, optical
drives, and removable media a "Mobile Device" category. This is you PDA,
when connected, and though you cannot open files from there, you can copy
and paste files and folders to and from your PDA.
Have fun.
