1. How do I reduce (or even eliminate) the recent programs on the
Start Menu? The ones that show up as recently having been launched...
this is an ok feature in Windows for desktops, but in a PPC it is just
too wasteful of valuable screen space.
2. I used to be able, on Pocket PC 2000, to have a "new" button which
I could hit the arrow, and start a Note, for example, from a chosen
template. In Windows Mobile 5.0, they seem to have eliminated that
"New" button, and forced you to just assume a single starting template
for notes. This, quite frankly, is absurd. Any advice?
Thanks.

It's built into the OS. You can't remove it.

I'm not sure why it was removed. You can choose the default template
under Options, but that's about it...

Atreju,
1. The Recently Used menu isn't something that normally is accessible to
the end user. However, if you purchase Tweaks2K2
(http://www.tweaks2k2.com), you will be able to clear out this menu (along
with a whole bunch of other things). Personally I think this is one of
those must-have applications.
2. I'm not going to be much help on this one.
Regards,

And I thought newer OSes were supposed to be IMPROVEMENTS.
