Does anyone know why Windows Media Player on Windows Mobile would not
properly move on to the show part of streams on http://www.wnyc.org/
(wma streams)?

The problem is that WNYC has a commercial that plays first and then
starts the stream when you click on the link. This works just fine on
my PC but the Windows Mobile version of Windows Media Player 10 seems
to not work correctly.

My Windows Mobile Windows Media player build is 10.1 build 14366.

I also posted this on the Windows Mobile news group to get additional
feedback.

I'm not sure that WMP for WM supports such hot links.

Can you perform the selection on your PC and then capture the URL of the
"after-commercial" stream?

I am having a similar problem.

I build a playlist dynamically with a number audio links. After the
first one is done playing, it request the second audio link, but it
stops so the user has to click play again. Sometimes the player exits
completely.

Any idea why this is? I am using a HTC PPC phone from Sprint. This
phone is running Windows Mobile 5.0 and the player version is 10.1.

Thanks in advance.

are the links to local, network or internet sources?

You might post a sample playlist in the binaries section... I'm curious
as I have done a lot of work with ppc playlists over the past few months.

Thanks for responding. The link in the previous posting has the problem

http://www.wnyc.org/asx/wnycam.asx

It happens with Windows Media Player for mobile 10.1 and up.

Thanks

My problem might be similar as I am trying to connect to the following link
within media player 10 but it tells me it cant find the fire as it might have
been moved, renamed or deleted which is strange as it doesnt even seem like
the device (UT starcom 6700) is even going online to connect.
