Post subject: Unresolved Item in ActiveSync
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>pocketpc (more info?)

ActiveSync reports that I have 1 unresolved item in my Calendar after
syncronization completes. When I click "Resolve item..." I get two seperate
messages that I have a duplicate contact contact name. Regardless of the
action I take regarding the contacts, the Calendar item remains unresolved
and selecting "Resolve items" again brings up the same two duplicate
contacts.

I have has some problems in the past with unresolved calendar items. The
problem was always when I edited the same item on my PPC and seperately on
the PC. ActiveSync does not give any indication which is the offending item
so it is a matter of opening different calendar appointments on the PC until
one of them said that there was conflicting information and allowed me to
resolve the problem. I have tried that same precedure this time but I have
been unsuccessful.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

PS:
The ActiveSync news group has not had any new posts since January 7. Is the
newsgroup being discontinued?

Uncradle/disconnect the activesync from your pda, delete partnership and
remove all contents in C:\Documents and Settings\<user login
name>\Application Data\Microsoft\ActiveSync\ (if you can't see it, click
tools, folder options, views, click on show hidden folders and files).

Reconnect activesync, create your partnership and sync, if u still have the
same your problem.

Uninstall activesync and remove all contents in C:\Documents and
Settings\<user login name>\Application Data\Microsoft\ActiveSync\ , reboot
and reinstall activesync.

Activesync is the cause of the unresolved problem, don't troubleshoot the
outlook pst file or whatever. Believe me I spent days doing all those
recommended rectification and it doesn't work.
