Sync Outlook 97 Inbox with PPC 2003

Can it be done, and if so, how? What do I need to set on
my PC and what needs to be set on my PPC ?

Outlook 97 is no longer supported for synchronization, and the Inbox
will definitely not synchronize (though you can synchronize other
items).
