Cannot send SMS

WM 6.1 on HP pocket PC. Network is fine - have checked on other phones
[incl wm 5 phone ] and checked with network operator - it's fine.

Phone says 'cannot send the message. try again ?'

Any ideas pls ?

Does this phone have the correct SMS Service Center number for your mobile
operator programmed in? It's on one of the pages in the phone options
menu.
