Greetings:
I have had a very frustrating time using my Pocket PC with
Outlook. I am running Outlook connected to an Exchange
server, ActiveSync 3.7 and Pocket PC 2003.
When I first dock my Pocket PC, everything syncs
correctly. While in the cradle - if I make a change on
the Pocket PC in my calendar, contact, notes, etc. Active
sync immediately kicks off, notices the change and syncs
with Outlook.
When I Make a change in Outlook, however, Active sync does
not kick off and sync with my PocketPC. So, I would click
on the 'Sync' button on activesync. Unfortunately,
activesync doesn't even notice that there are even changes
that have been made in outlook. This problem became clear
to me the other day when I ran to a meeting and grabbed my
PocketPC out of the cradle. I booked a meeting while I
was away from my desk based on what I thought was current
information and when I returned to my desk and cradled the
pocket PC, 12 appointments that I had accepted over the
course of the day (which I thought had been synced) now
got synced in my PocketPC and one of them conflicted with
the one that I had just set up.
Does anyone know if there is a fix to this? Do I have
settings set up incorrectly - or do I have to remove the
Pocket PC from the cradle each time to ensure that I am
really synced with Outlook.
Please advise, I need this to be as reliable as possible.
Thanks-
Tom. |

Ensure that under Tools -> Options, Schedule tab, you have it set to
synchronize Continuously, not "On Connection" or "Manually".

I, too, have the same issue...If I add something to my
IPAQ 5950 it updates Outlook immediately...If I update
Outloook nothing is updated unless I undock/dock.
Have you gotten this issue resolved yet?
