When attempting to sync the inbox, tasks, calendar or
notes, activesync will update one item and then I receive
the message "Server Busy" from Activesync on the pc. The
dialog box gives you the option to retry, switch (to other
application) or cancel. Only thing is, there is no other
application running. So you are caught in an unending
loop of Retry (since cancel does not work), until you give
it the three finger salute with Task Manager.
I assume the server the dialog box is referring to is the
OLE or ODBC server or something like that! I'm using XP
with Office 2003.
I have a sneaking suspicion that it may be Outlook 2003 in
offline mode that is causing the problem, but can anyone
confirm this? Or is there something else that could cause
this?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts! |

Hi,
Are you using ActiveSync 3.7.1? This is the latest release that supports
Outlook 2003.

I have been syncing with Outlook 2003 for over a year. I was a beta tester
for Office 2003 and did not experience any issues. If you are using USB
ports, try moving the connection to different connectors and maybe one may
work better for you. If you are using a USB hub, try connecting to a USB
port on the computer and not to the hub. Ensure you are using the recent
version of the USB software for your computer. You may also want to
reinstall Outlook, after you have upgraded activsync
