Here a curly one I hope someone else has come across and
fixed.
This little machine is a real beauty, especially with the
Targus stowaway keyboard. The machine is so good that
when I dropped my first one on concrete and broke it I
replaced it with exactly the same model [the last one in
the shop] and not one of the newer ones... Everything was
going brilliantly for the past 14 months until._
I have a new problem following a recent [technician] XP
reinstall. The Sync only works partly,
sychronising 'Favorites' but nothing else. I get two
error messages;
Error message 1. "No profiles have been created. To
create a new profile use the Mail icon in the control
panel."
[this relates to profiles in Outlook Express and there is
in fact an existing profile; when I delete the existing
profile and re-enter it it makes no difference]
Error message 2. "Sync cannot be completed because your
personal information manager (PIM) program cannt be
acessed. Ensure your PIM program is running and try to
synchronise again. If your PIM is running restart your
computer.
[there appears to be no such animal as a PIM on my PC
running XP/Office Pro]
I have also installed the last Avant Go update.
Anybody seen this before? [and if so 'Help' please]

Hey PIM means the Personal Information Manager. Exapmles
of PIM are Outlook, (It can be a part of your Office
version) Schedule Plus etc.
However ActiveSync supports only Outlook sync activity.
If you have any issues just restart you PC. If the issue
persists, repair Outlook.
Use the Help in Outlook for specific steps.
Normally it is
Click on Help and select detect and repair.
If the issue persists. just reinstal aCitiveSync.
Or the last steps is to soft reset the Pocket PC and then
reinstall Outlook
If you have Office XP, just run the setup, remove the
Outlook option,
reboot the PC
Then again run Office setup and check the Outllok option.
If the issue persists just let me know.
Hope this info helps you

No, that relates to profiles in Outlook. Have you run Outlook (not
Outlook Express) to create a data file?
