Post subject: Installation package
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>pocketpc (more info?)

Hi
I have written a C# app that when I copy the assembly (.exe) to my IPAQ
runnning Pocket PC 2003 I can execute it and all works well.
If I want to put this app on a web-site would people simply do the same
thing or do I need to create an installation (setup) exe?
Also, is there any information on how I would protect this app - as in -
allow people to use it for a number of days and then block the program until
a registration number is purchased?
How do I go about this??

Many thanks in advance !!
Marcel

Hi Ed

Will this exe work on most pocket pc's? I presume it must have the Compact

Framework installed?

How do I create a shortcut automatically into the \windows\start menu

structure?

Cheers

Marcel
