First, try a soft reset or two. I used to have a T-Mobile MDA (T-Mo's
version of the 8125) that would give me that error occasionally for no
apparent reason until I rebooted it.
Second, does the 8125 have that "enable/disable proxy" app like my AT&T
Tilt has? Might you have tripped it by mistake?
If that isn't it, this used to work in the olden days (pre WM5) sometimes:
go into the \Windows folder on the device with File Explorer and run the
"Welcome" file (if there's two run either one- one is just a shortcut to
the other.) This starts the align screen and other stuff (cut/paste
tutorial, clock setting, etc.) like when you first set up the device (but
don't worry- none of your data is erased!) It apparently also initializes
some IE Mobile settings (again, at least it did in the old days) and would
fix some connectivity issues.
Good luck!
