Wim,
Make sure of a few settings first:
Under ActiveSync you need to select "Connection Settings" then check the
first checkbox that says "Allow serial cable or infrared connection to
this COM port", then pull down the dropdown list and select "Infrared port
(IR)".
This should allow the Dell laptop and H2210 to communicate with each other.
If you are having IR problems head to 'Contol Panel' and check your
settings for 'Wireless Link', under file transfer tab it is good to start
with all the check boxes checked. This way you can see if you do have
communication.
Next go to you PPC Settings->Connection->Beam and check receive all
incoming beams, and bring your PPC near your IR port on your Dell. A
dialog box should pop up stating "another computer with a wireless link is
available"
or "Pocket_PC(or whatever you call it ) is in range" then you know you
have IR properly setup on both your devices and you should be able to sync.
