GPS questions

There was an insert for Pharos GPS in with my toshiba ppc. It runs about
190 for my model. Are there any other brands I should look into? Are
there monthly fees or is this the one time cost?

There are lots of brands to consider. There are no monthly fees for GPS
service. It is free from the US government and is supported world wide.
