Does anyone know how to get the equivalent of this Excel function into a
Pocket Excel spreadsheet?

=Rank(A1,A1:A10,1)

Thanks

Hello,

Pocket Excel does not support the RANK function unfortunately. However,
SoftMaker's PlanMaker does support it. You can get more information and a
demo of it from SoftMaker at http://www.softmaker.com. You can read a
review of it on my site at
http://www.clintonfitch.com/reviews/softmaker/planmaker-2004/default.asp.

I suppose you could sort your data into order and then number the
sorted data from top to bottom (or vice versa) being careful to check
for ties.

A cheaper, and in some respects (e.g., supports some macro commands)
more comprehensive program is SpreadCE. See

http://www.byedesign.freeserve.co.uk

SpreadCE is also less demanding on your hardware. Planmaker can take a
while to load and can be quite slow.

Lance,

Great alternative and one I didn't think about.

Thanks so much for your suggestion

I have downloaded a shareware version of this software and will test it at
the track this weekend, if it works as I expect it to then I'll buy it.

Thanks again everyone
