1. I have a bluetooth integrated PPC iPaq1940, can I use a bluetooth adapter
(e.g D-Link DBT-120) to plug into my PC's USB port and share the PC's
dial-up internet connection to browse internet, msn chatting on my PPC?
2. Also the spec says the bluetooth transmit distance is 10 meters, how
about going through the walls and floors? still 10 meters?
Thanks

yes, simply connect from your ipaq to the PC (using bluetooth) by starting
activesync from the bluetooth menu. Once connected, you can simply browse
the web (if your PC is connected to the web) using IE etc

no, less. |

Have a look in our Bluetooth Guides on how to connect (and other stuff you
can do with Bluetooth).
As for range, 10 meters is reduced if you have walls on the way. With my
H3970 I was able to connect through a closed door, but the same is not true
with my H4150 now. They both have different chipsets though (H3970 is Zeevo
and the H4150 is TI).

I second that. Mauricio's guide was invaluable in getting my
Bluetooth to work. I was wanting to do exactly what you want (except
I'm sharing a cable modem). Initially, I had a problem but it was
caused by me. After reviewing all the items in Mauricio's site, I was
able to correct the problem.
Mine seems to work fine within 20-40 feet again depending on doors and
walls. I'm using the Ambicom BT2000C-USB bluetooth adapter. Got it
at Circuit City for $50.

Mauricio's guide got me up and running in no time! Thanks! I'm using the
Iogear USB Bluetooth doggle and I can connect, sync and surf the web as far
away as 100 feet. Amazing!
