Has anyone experimented with deleting unnessisary files from thier 4700 for
the sake of more memory?

For example deleting the BTPhoneManager folder. It's 1.3MB and I'll never
use it. But at the same time I wouldn't want to disrupt any poor programing
on the OS side in case anything always assumes it's there and might
otherwise crash if it's not.

I've zapped it without any ill effects at all.

How did you remove it? BT Phonemanager is not on the list of Remove Programs
on my 4705.

I deleted the directory that contains the EXE and I removed the shortcut
under the smartmenu folder. I left any reg entries.
