I got the X50v and love it, the X30 is a pretty good deal, but I figured 64
meg more of memory plus VGA for another $120.00 was worth it to me. I think
the reason the benchmarks are slower is X30 is QVA and the X50v is VGA so
it has to work 4 times as hard. I'm no expert on this.

I've had my X50v for a few weeks. It's nothing short of awesome. The screen
is unbelievable. It's like going from a regular TV to HD LCD. There's
nothing else on the market now even close to it. Unless you want to spend an
extra $200 and get a HP with that crazy touch pad. Order one you won't be
sorry.

If you don't need the CF slot consider the X30High now on sale at Dell.
Less money, and faster than the X50V in benchmarks. |

I was also considering the HP, but I hate the touchpads, and didn't like the
price increase, either.

Don't own one, but played with one the other day, and much prefer my X30
High. Yeah, no VGA, but who cares, really? I've seen it and am not
impressed.

The X50v comes with MP10 built-in and is the only Pocket PC out there which
has integer scaling. Which is a fancy name for being able to take a QVGA
video and make it a pseudo VGA sized one. The Dell X50v has the speaker in
the front panel, so when I lay it down on the table I can still hear my
music playing with out being muffled like some rear speakered devices. Also,
the IRDA port is at the top so I don't have to stand sideways to receiver or
beam information. The screen is awesome! Great form-factor! It has dual card
slots, BT, and WiFi, are built-in and important to me. I think you'll see
some "bug" fixes coming out which will improve its benchmarks soon. For me,
this one's a keeper!
