Can anyone recommend an Antivirus application for Windows Mobile 5. And how
real are virus threats on these devices?

Thanks in advance,

Rob,

I've not seen any Antivirus software that states it is WM5 compatible but
that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I've used F-Secure but only goes up to
WM2003SE.

As for needing AV software, that's tough to say. There have been a few
virus' out there for the Windows Mobile platform but they haven't really
gone anywhere.

Regards,

The general concensus at the moment is that there are no appreciable ppc
threats and the problems and performance loss by running one of the few
av programs is not worth the effort.

In general, the ppc is a "client" device and is, therefore, not subject
to the same threats as the desktop.

The biggest threat is between the ears of the user... if you are wont to
download and allow a malicious ppc program to run, install ppc av
software immediately Wink

I agree that the threat is minor. But, my JASJAR came with CA eTrust
Antivirus pre-installed.
