Post subject: Active Sync - Pocket Access
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>pocketpc>activesync (more info?)

Activ Sync is not converting my *.cdb database to an
*.mdb file.

XP version, 5.1.2600, Service Pack 1, Build 2600;
ActivSync version, 3.7 Build (3083);
Pocket PC, HP iPAQ 5555;
PPC OS Version, 4.20.1081 (Build 13100),(Windows CE 4.2)

ActivSync Tools>Options>Rules>Conversion Settings
>"Convert files when synchronized, copied or moved" is
checked. Pocket Access for Device to Desktop indicates
that a Pocket Access *.cdb is to be converted to a
*.mdb.

I activate my connection to my PC by using ActivSync on
my PPC and selecting "Connect via IR...". I go to the
PPC "File Explorer", locate and select the *.cdb file and
then "Beam File". The file transfers to the PC fine and
shows up on my PC Desktop. However it is not converted
to an *.mdb file. It remains a *.cdb file and I do not
know how to manually convert it.

Help!

You must set it up in Pocket Access sync, under Tools -> Options.
