I can not enable Pocket Access through Active Sync. The
icon is present in the options menu but there is no box
to click. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling
many times but have had no luck.

Do you currently have Microsoft Access installed by any chance?

Just out of curiosity, try loading it up. I'm not sure what could be
causing the problem, but it might be linked to Access conversion
files/ODBC.

I started it up but the ODBC files are not an option
under file types

Are you running Windows XP? Try running Windows Update and downloading
the MDAC 2.7 update (I'm pretty sure it's under Recommended Updates).

I am running XP, I have every recomended and critical
update installed and every current driver. I reinstalled
active sync after installing the recomended updates. I
still have the same problem. I did notice that when I
was setting up the active sync, when you can choose what
it syncs with I selected only pocket access. When pocket
access is selected the settings box is still greyed out
unlike any of the other options.

You have to check the box beside Pocket Access then synchronize your
Pocket PC once. Once you've done this, you can access the Settings
box.
