"Windows Media Player 9 Series for Pocket PC is only available on new Pocket
PC devices running Windows Mobile Software 2003 or from a full system
upgrade to the new Windows Mobile Software 2003 available from the Pocket PC
manufacturer.

You might want to concider the post above by JDTHREE "Freeing up mem in
WM2003"
before upgrading the new OS.
I found that I can get the Ipaq 5555 through Costco for $569 and has 128Mb
I'd watch that post;-)

The "Compaq" support website is already taking orders for the 2003
upgrade; and I've had an e-mail from the supplier saying mine's in the
post.
