Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
When you get any Office Mac window size and location "correct" for you, every time you re-open the file, you have to resize the window. Even Entourage always has this small size reduction on all sides. It is most irritating in Excel/PowerPoint/Word, where it is impossible to save a full screen window.
I searched for a fix for this issue, but there was only one post with no response. Can't believe this isn't bothering some other people too. Just want a way to retain window size and placement. |

Are you using the OS X "Spaces" feature? If so that would explain it.
Generally, Office documents reopen at the same size they were when last open
& changes were saved. Document windows, however, will always be positioned
in the upper left because that's dictated by the OS. However, when you
create a new document or open an existing file after having resized another
doc window - even if it is no longer open - the newly opened window will be
the same width as the last.

I also have this problem although I have Word 2004 (and OS 10.5.7).
I always have to resize my document and Word never remembers.
I've set a macro so that I can at least resize more easily but I'd like Word
to remember.
Spaces isn't set up on my computer.
