Archived from groups: microsoft>public>mac>office>powerpoint (more info?)

Whenever I add a .mov file to PPT, it plays back during presentation
with a much lower quality than when viewed in Quicktime.
I can't figure out what it is that makes the resolution degrade.
If I have a 720x540 movie inserted into a 10"x7.5" presentation
(@72dpi=720x540!) there is pixelation, but it should show the pixels
at a ratio of 1:1, right?
Can someone help??
Thanks,
Erik

On the average PC (and most newer macs?) a full screen 10x7.5 PPT show will
be 800 x 600 pixels at a bare minimum; most likely 1024 x 768 or more, so a
720 x 540 video forced to run larger than that probably *would* start to
look a wee bit raggedy.
