Yes, but some of the details are different. For example, newer animation
effects in PowerPoint 2002 and 2003 (PC version) don't work on Macs (or
older PC versions). Linked sounds and/or videos often have problems, and
fonts that might be common on one platform might not exist on the other
computer. However, most basic functions go back and forth fairly well.
With simple presentations, I'm always interested to see what my bullets
will look like when I transfer the presentation to another machine. I
had one presentation that I moved from a Mac to a PC, and the bullets all
turned to crosses. That worked out very well because I know work for a
Catholic college.

At MacWorld Expo in S.F. in January a MS developer at their booth told me
that one of the directives they were working under for the upcoming release
of Office 2004 for the Mac was to make the PC and Mac versions as similar in
function as possible. He said such features as path animation would be
included in the Mac version. Hopefully, at that time (summer?) moving
presentations between Macs and PCs will be easier and more compatible.

It wasn't me! I was manning the PowerPoint booth at MacWorld for a lot of
the time. If that is true that will be good news. We did not have a copy of
Office 2004 at the booth, though.
