Yeah, right. I'm gonna get my pirated software from some Eurotrash

Oh, yes, of course. The person who posted the link says it's okay.
Naturally we'd want to trust that.

I can - in Denmark, German is the second foreign language in school;
when I was at school it was compulsory from year 7, age 13. Latin year
9, French year 10-13.

I notice /no German keyboard/. No ä, ö or ß. I have seen that the Danish
keyboard will be with æ, ø and å - directly on the main keyboard.

BTW, it doesn't even install ...

Well, it did on my phone. However, no one's forced to use it. Try if you
want to, wait if you fear to brick your device.

So, will I have to sync my iPhone before upgrading again? I think that I
failed to do so when I upgraded to 2.0 last year, and I lost all my e-mails
as a result. Is there a way that I can avoid doing this when I upgrade to
3.0?

I also notice that my first generation iPhone only has about 1 gigabyte of
memory left. Will I need to remove some things in order to perform the
upgrade?

The problem, strangely enough, is that I can't seem to remove certain videos
and podcasts that I recently downloaded onto the iPhone. Any advice on that?

sync it so that it backs up the device, then upgrade the firmware which
will wipe the entire device, then sync it again and everything will be
restored exactly as it was. it's easier than it sounds.

I have no doubt that it is easier than it sounds. Unfortunately for me,
however, I find it difficult to remove certain podcasts from my iPhone.
