combining multiple projects

I'm afraid it's totally unclear what you are referring to as a "project" as
well as what it is that you want to accomplish.

If you mean that you want to combine the slides from one presentation file
with those of another, use Insert> Slides From> Other Presentation.

If that isn't what you mean please give a more exact description of what you
want to do & what you are trying to do it with.
