Is there anyway to add a superscript and subscript toolbar button to Excel,
just as Word has. I tried going to customize toolbar and tried writing a
macro with little success. It is a real pain having to go to the format
cells screen every time. Thanks for your help

Unfortunately, there isn't one, and macros are suspended while in
Edit mode.

For a great super/subscript utilty, look here:

http://j-walk.com/ss/excel/files/supersub.htm

It was designed for WinXL, so it comes up scrunched in MacXL, but it
works fine.

Thanks for the info. I went to the mentioned site but the only thing to
download was an .exe file which macs don't recognize. So how do I use
SuperSub. Thanks again for your help.

It's only an auto-expandable archive. Stuffit Expander can handle this and
unstuffit.
