Hmm, not so good.

I've just discovered that one of the pressure-connectors that connect
the side-panel fan of my 9600 is broken off, so the fan is not running.
The G3 daughtercard inside (a PowerLogix design, with that funky little
circular heatsink) does seem to get a bit warm, and the Profiler reports
that under average load, it is running at around 63 C (145 F) degrees.

Is this too hot to run for extended time periods? Should I jury-rig a
more permanent power connection to the side-panel fan (and fairly
quickly)?

Not to worry. Wallstreet laptops run that kind of temperature all the
time. Probably a good idea to fix it, though.
