Hello:
I've just recently switched from PC to a Mac, and am having a slight
issue in Firefox. I've always really found the in-line spelling tool
useful, but have to be able to discover how to use it with OS X. With
XP, I'd simply right click to get the available list of alternate
spellings. With OS X, of course, this isn't an option.
Is there a simple alternative to right clicking which will allow me to
keep using this feature?
Thanks in advance for any help! |

Try control-click ... that is generally the way MacOS has
for contextual menus.

Um, yes, it _is_ an option with OS X. In fact, it was even an option
with OS 9. If you have a two-button mouse connected to your Mac,
right-clicking will bring up a contextual menu just like it does in
Windows. Now, if you're using a Mac laptop or have a single-button
mouse, as the other poster pointed out, control-clicking (clicking while
pressing the control key) is the substitute.

There are excellent multibutton mice that work well with Macinotsh
computers. Apple has the mighty mouse [now wireless http://www.apple.com/mightymouse/
] and it has right click functionality as well.
